Open Age’s Steady and Stable programme is a 38 week evidence based exercise programme designed to help you improve your balance, strength, mobility and coordination. Our aim is to help prevent falls and to keep you living independently for longer.
Taking part will help you to keep mobile and able to do the things you like to do. The classes will also give you an opportunity to make new friends and are designed to be fun!
Steady and Stable is for anyone over 50 who:
• Lacks confidence when walking
• Feels wobbly on their feet
• Has a fear of falling
• Has a history of falls
• Would like to improve balance and functional ability
Classes are led by a specialist trainer and involve a series of exercises performed in standing. Exercises can be progressed at your own pace.
Steady and Stable is free to join. Donations however are welcome.
